I’m sure I’m not the first to discover this, but…
An online dictionary search for “Drupal” says it’s a synonym for “drupaceous”: that is, “resembling, related to… [or] producing drupes“. A drupe is a fruit whose seed is covered by a tough endocarp, like the red peaches you see here.

It all makes sense now
Over in authentic journalism quarters starting with Narco News (using Drupal for the co-publisher driven part) some call me Duraznote, Spanish playing of my French last name “melançon” as a word for peach.
And now I see I am a Drupal…

The peach makes sense I guess. In the middle you have the core which should be hard and unbreakable, which contains all the important information of the whole system sourroundes by lot of juicy material, which offers lot of capacity for the core to expand his capabilities. Just like software should be designed.
